makati is a financial district. that's cebu. nauna na ang cebu ana. lisod na ka apas ang mandaue sa financial clout sa cebu.

A project in Cabancalan Eliaas Cortes St. is the drainage system....
Tungod kay napalpak man ang project, iya dayong gipahid ang sayop ngadto sa way labot...
She was trying to connect a drainage to M.L. Quezon St. but unfortunately failed due to elevation problem...ambot giunsa paghuna-huna...Tungod kay napalpak man, mao nang makita ninyo ang pinakadako nga septic tank sa tibuok mandaue...gihimu-an na lang tawn og septic tank...sakto ba na?
And to think, this project is worth 1.5MILLION PESOS... usa ra ka septic tank ang nahimo...

POLITICALLY PRETENDED EMOTIONS
All the loves, therefore, the sympathies, the cares that she made known, said, and trumpeted to the public were mere words, empty words plucked out from thin air, all meant to deceive, the unknowing and trusting public!
This is simply applying cosmetics to an already sagging public image due to cheap political gimmickry, indolence and sloth.

THE DIS-URBANIZATION OF MANDAUE
For 18 years or since 1992, Mandaue City was declared a highly Urbanized City, being so , Mandaue has been patiently, silently waiting to be created as a lone congressional district. No legal impediments ever existed until now. All the necessary ingredients for Mandaue to become a Lone Congressional District are already in the bag, population and income wise, no problem!

SHE FAILED TO BRING HOME THE BACON
But Nerissa failed to bring home the bacon for Mandaue City. She brought the bacon, instead to Lapu-lapu. What an insult! What a travesty!

P70,000,000.00 A YEAR
Every member of Congress is assured of P70,000,000.00 worth of projects every year for his/her district. If only Nerissa pursued a bill in congress to make Mandaue a lone congressional district at the time Mandaue was declared a Highly Urbanized City since 1992, Mandaue would have projects for her own amounting to P1,260,000,000.00. This is P70,000,000.00 x 18 years. But because she shared the P70,000,000.00 with two other government units, Mandaue City instead of being privileged to have P70M in projects only get a measly P23.33 M a year!, if ever equal sharing is the name of the game.

HOME FOR THE HOMELESS
P1,260,000,000.00 can be translated into 15,750 DECENT, LIVABLE, LONG SOUGHT housing units for the poor, the landless and the homeless, the URBAN POOR. Recent developments had shown that the City Government of Mandaue under the able aegis of Mayor Jonas C. Cortes, had clinched a deal with the Ramon Aboitiz Foundation, Inc (RAFI), a BRIGHT STAR in a galaxy where assisting the poor and the marginalized is not the current fashion, to build homes for the homeless Mandauehanons housing units for their own to call home. At a cheap price of P80,000.00 per unit, P1,260,000,000.00 means15,750 housing units or 584 per barangay. Imagine the feeling of seeing in your barangay 584 newly built uniformed houses in straight lines and in columns, like soldiers in cadence in a Military Parade and Review, and 15,750 units sprouting like mushrooms in the whole city. It would have been a beauty to behold. It would have been a scene shot straight from a Pag-ibig commercial.
MORE CLASSROOMS
It would have also meant 2,250 more classrooms for the whole of Mandaue or 83 additional classrooms per barangay! It would have solved the perennial problem of overcrowding of school children/students in one single classroom, making it more conducive to study and learning, thereby unloading our mentors the unnecessary burden of over crowded classrooms giving them more time to focus on ways and means to better and improve ways of learning and instructions. WHAT A WASTE! WHAT AN INJUSTICE!

UNREALIZED DREAMS OF MANY
This enormous amount of money would have been enough to realize the dreams of the Elderly and the Senior Citizens, the Differently Abled Persons and other neglected sectors of the community, who are now a recognized vital voice and force in city/nation-building under a great and magnanimous charismatic leader who see all, hear and listen to all sectors not minding the kind and color of someone’s politics.

.. wait, is this really feasible ?? Where should that so called "like makati" be erected ?? The new reclamation area ?? Mandaue has been stagnant for many years now and that claim that it's going to be the next makati is just but wishful thinking. But, hopefully it will be realized, that's a big HOPEFULLY.
