I may be wrong, but just giving feedbacks from previous owners.

and most of all, resale value is mighty low.

Might i suggest for those who are thinking about buying a KIA, should also consider HYUNDAI in a big way.

At the end of the day, it's your call.

    Cheers!
you maybe right at the resale value thing bai, but you got it wrong about the performance... my other car is on it's 14th year but still runs like new... dont rely too much on feedbacks if you dont have any first hand experience with it... it depends kung unsa ka mu maintain sa awto, just like any other car maguba man jud na ug dili ampingan... KIA and HYUNDAI use the same standards and technology today.... i have a lancer that runs very good and my kia is tailing it basing on performance.... so im contented with my pride... just my two cents...

    i stand corrected sir.

well, my previous post was based from previous owners who had these experience with Korean cars, and i just relayed these experiences with regards to the topic of this thread.
Yes, you are very right. No matter what the brand may be, a car will always be car no matter what.
But if you talk about the longevity and the lifespan of the car, bottomline is on how it is being maintained and taken care of.
Moreso, any other car would last more than 5 years, 6 years, and perhaps 14 years and above.
Any car would last that long, the important thing and the main thing of having such cars is how you give TLC to your car.

Sadly, the downfall for Korean-made cars is the resale value.
If i am not mistaken, KIA and HYUNDAI are offering 5 year/100,000km warranty on their vehicles, respectively.

I can't believe they can give that much, unlike the Japanese-made vehicles such as Toyota and Mitsubishi who only give 3 years. I might be wrong with this info.

    Just my .02 cents.

    Cheers!

hyundai and kia are the same manufacturer, am i right? i have a kia, my customers have kia and hyundai, but really the truth, in any brand of car, it depends on how you maintain your car or how you drive it. this is just what i have experienced, as a shop owner and a car owner.
