iv been reading books about animal shelters abroad..i think it would be great if we also have an animal shelter here in cebu..i'd like to open one but i have no idea how to go with it.. any bright ideas? anyone?? lets help our poor canine companions who doesnt have permanent homes... Any ideas and suggestions on the matter will be highly appreciated..

Awesome you're out there! There are several of us here in Cebu in the process of developing a rescue organization. Visit us at the Pet Expo at White Gold this Saturday. For all those interested in animal rescue...come and visit the IRO (Island Rescue Organization) exhibit table at the PetExpo at White Gold Club today and tomorrow. Feel free to join us and get more information about future plans in Cebu regarding rescue and promoting responsible pet ownership in Cebu. IRO is the Cebu chapter of Friends for the Protection of Animal, a non-profit organization based in the United States. IRO will have information regarding "pit bulls" and a stream of videos focusing on the history of pit bulls and how awesome this breed can be when owned by responsible loving owners. There will also be a weight pulling competition and all breed competition. Kita kits...

hello there,we have something in common i rescued,train & own pitbulls as well.along with some friends @ SCK club,we promoted responsible pitbull ownership.its evident of our club tshirt at the back it has..."ANOTHER RESPONSIBLE PITBULL OWNER".on our advocacy in promoting a welfare for the breed-training,demonstrating in schools,parks & dogshows..im very disappointed with the club ur putting ur demos now,WHY?coz they dont support the thing we do.they themselves are concerned only with only 1 thing...TROPHIES!they are only busy improving on the 'looks department' alone.they dont even know how to handle their own dogs or care teaching it manners...as long as it look good.some of which even are still doing dogfighting with their dogs.since 'the animal shelter' thing has been brought out & for ur voice to be heard,it would be nice if u showcase ur concerns with regards to pitbulls @ SM on the afternoon on the same date,this sunday.the City vet is there,she can help our voices to be heard.hope to see u guys!!!!
