@ AKONASADNI - No offense sir but why would you improve the sound ? I dont get whatn you are trying to say by IMPROVING the SOUND . To make it sound more of a SPORTIER type ?

@ CHOLOCOY - Yes the companies CLAIMED that there products perform better than other companies. MARKETING STRATEGY at its best . We have to remember and consider that the test was conducted on a HIGH PERFORMANCE CAR and nobody knew what else was installed in the GT-R . Would the gains on a GT-R be the same on say a Civic or a Corolla ? It might even rob you of REAL USABLE HP . Speaking performance products , companies also say that a short throw shifter and a nice polish shift knob are performance parts/accesories but do they make your car faster as a mentality ? Nope , because performance products are very much over rated and the word UPGRADE PARTS /ACCESORIES fits more better .

As ive said on FUEL MILEAGE if it improves or not , the more it needs to work hard because of the presence of a " performance part " or " upgrade " makes the motor work harder thus making it burn more fuel than it normally does when it was stock . All stock motors are the best one you can get for saving in fuel mileage thats why it was design like that .

Just put it this way , changing your stock drop in filter to a cone type bisan Simota lang will help improve your cars breathing during acceleration where it will be movong faster thus getting more air entering to the intake manifold . Can you imagine the comparison of the drop in na walay hangin gyud makuha because it is restricted inside a box compared to the cone type that has all the air it can suck in the engine bay bisan hot air siya ?

I dont know either what is the definition of a SPORTIER SOUND ... is that the one na saba ang tambutso ? Because all I know from my own car , the sporty sound for me defines as a THROATY SOUND and you dont get that from the MUFFLER bai .

yeah,.... but there are some performance products / upgrades that give u better gas mileage,...
like PERFORMANCE AIR INTAKE SYSTEM
and a COMPLETE EXHAUST SYSTEM,.....

one of the main goal's the auto manufacturer's is to :
1.) make the car as quiet as possible
2.) thn get the best gas mileage the car can have in that setting

why does a car have a RESONATOR??
why does a car have a MUFFLER?
why is the stock exhaust pipe restricted?

why does the stock intake tube have multiple turns n bends??
why does the car have a air intake silencer?

**** Would the gains on a GT-R be the same on say aÂ* Civic or a Corolla? the gains would be dif'rent coz the GT-R is FI,... cars like civic n corolla is NA,..... but dont tell me dat by installing a air intake system will not give u gains to ur engine,... and also increase HP by a bit
