TLDR; anway lingaw nasad ni clash of the fanboys hahaha
every person kay naa man darkside gyud
and mao ni darkside sa mga aquino,
and ang nakapait lang halos tanan politiko mo ingon sila para sa mahirap
eh sila man gane cause pod ngano ang mga mahirap lalong naghihirap
Well, mag clash lang siguro ang mga fanboys if dunay usa nila or both had not read the story. We are trying to understand the underlying causes of the sufferings of the poor tenants in HL under the Cojuangos. This has been thoroughly research by GMA so I'm taking most of it as facts unless someone here can offer compelling evidences that will refute the truthfulness to the story.
^^^Kuyawa sad anang baby james oi! gamay pa gani...hehe...
And what most people do not know is how the Cojuangco fortune came about in the first place. Ysidra Cojuangco was the paramour of Philippine Revolutionary hero Gen. Antonio Luna. Luna entrusted a large amount of revolutionary treasure to her for safekeeping. When Luna was assassinated by his own men in June 1899, Ysidra was left with sole possession of the treasure. There is no evidence any of it was ever returned to the Philippine government.
The rumor is that Dr. Antonio Cojuangco, Sr., said to be the son of Ysidra's sister-in-law Tecla, is actually the love child of Ysidra and Luna. A scandal would have erupted had it been known Antonio was born to an unmarried woman. Tecla, by the way, is Cory Aquino's and Danding's grandmother.
(Dr. Antonio Cojuangco was killed by Japanese troops during the battle of Manila in 1945. His son Ramon sired former PLDT chair Tonyboy, who carries his grandfather's name).
Dr. Antonio Cojuangco's birthdate, circa 1899, is only a few months after the death of Antonio Luna. Of course all documentary references to the relationship between Luna and Ysidra have long since disappeared. But it's easy to see who Dr. Cojuangco's possible namesake may have been.
