50% of the senior citizens I met are inconsiderate. Although I understand why most of them are but how can they expect younger people to respect them when they themselves doesn't know the meaning of respect.

i agree with psyche_08. i'm all for respecting the elders and such. but i don't get why most elder people treat others, especially those younger than them, like trash. does getting old automatically grant you the right to treat others shabbily? maybe some behave this way because they figure, hey, i'm old anyway. it's a given you never talk back to those older than you. but we're all people here. we get hurt. we have feelings. simple ra man kaayo na ba. if you want to be respected, then give respect in return. in this case, age doesn't matter. being older does not give anybody the right to trample on the rights of others.
