di ko ka confirm kung naa abusayap sa davao, pero MILF daghan, i know some, samot na mga high ranking sa MILF naa sa davao nag stay or diha ra nag vacation. ingon nila naa agreement with the mayor and the rebels na di sila mang hilabot sa davao in return di pud sila hilabtan..

abusayap yunÂ* na gipadala sa davao from basilan. same group who attempted to bomb cebu. so please dont associate davao to abus coz terrorism is a threat anywhere...the popular Makati was even bombed...few walks from the shopping district and just below ayala station...dont tell me taga didto pud ang abu sayaff?

New York and the Pentagon was attacked.... London - a day after it was proclaimed as host of Olympics...ayaw ko ingna taga didto pud ang terorista?

nHaRuToH_XXX i hope you'll be sensitive with what you post... i'm sick with people who associate davao with abus when in fact these same people raising the issue of abus in davao havent visited and stayed in that city.

FYI - when the ASEAN Tourism Forum was planned to be held here sa Pinas - most of the Pinoys from the Capital strongly opposed the plan to hold it in Davao. Nangita sila og lain place...kay daghan daw bomba, terrorista - lam mo na, JUDGEMENT SA MGA IGNORANTE AND NAIVES!

but GMA chose Davao personally coz she have been to the place. and even the Singaporean organizer agreed! ASEAN TOURISM FORUM was successfully held in Davao last January 2006 and had earned praises from international tourism ministers.

Mabuti pa sila..they trusted Davao...pero ibang pinoys? they are the one putting the city down!

Nabombahan - yeah that was a reality! pero wa diay na nahitabo sa ubang lugar? reality check - it happened sa key locations in the world - METRO MANILA, NEWYORK, WASHINGTON, LONDON, etc.

simbako palayo if mahitabo na sa atong gipuy-an karon here in Cebu (God forbid! knock on wood)-- ganahan ka na even after few years it happened...people would still associate us sa terrorism?

yup...pero bag-o pa man na na under sa waterfront group of hotels..what I am trying to raise are hotels bearing the name itselfÂ* "Waterfront Hotel". Waterfront Hotel Cebu and Waterfront Hotel Davao are two established and popular hotels owned and being successfuly operated for years by Waterfront in Davao and Cebu. While Manila Pavillion was once owned by a Acesite Hotel Corp then bought and being operated (just recently) by Waterfront!

Diba ang Waterfront sa Davao was once Insular Hotel? then bought and operated by Waterfront lang sad?

you are a programmer, the city gave you a good opportunity, which other people wished they would also have. that even the locals, the cebuanos, would be as thankful if they had a profession such as yours. in one way or another, cebu had its share of giving you a better life.

if you felt your heart was pounding like jackhammer when you were on the streets, that's because cebu is not one sleepy town and where social problems also exist being in a country that suffers widespread poverty. it is not just you, one having considerable talent and skills, who's lured to grab available opportunities in cebu, but also bestial elements who prefer to earn quick simply by victimizing their preys.

natural ra gyud nang kulbaan. kulbaan gani ta moinom lang ug kape kana pang dili ka suhito sa lugar. hinoon naa man gyud sad nang mga dautan nga mga elemento bisan asa pa ka sa kalibutan. ang kuyaw ug dili na ka kulbaan. either your heart is not functioning like it should or you don't have a heart at all, hehehehehehe.

actually, we are sharing the same profession only that i am based in a foreign land. one of the safest country in the world, but just recently an american was murdered with his throat cut. crime happens everywhere and it is just a matter of time when you and i become a victim. whether you are on the summit of everest, shores of gold coast, or the streets of cebu, it will happen when it's meant or your time has come. then His will be done.

pero nindot man cebu diba? try visiting other countries and you will find out that cebu doesn't lag behind. you will also see 'not so nice' situations...

@tagadiri.. thanks. yup, nindot. Cguro maong mahadlok sab ko kay sa storya pa lng sa mga tao sa akoa na taga diri ra sab. Pero medyo naka-adjust naman sad kay makaya naman sab nako muuli masking kadlawon. Basig madugay, ma-feel at home na sad ko diri.

Pero kung istoryahan ang opportunities, aw, daghan jud diri sa Cebu hinuon.. Kasagaran pa jud international companies. Mao na dako pud possibility na makagawas. Ganahan sab ko maghuna2x nga daghan kaayo diri mga hawd sa lain2x nga field. Unta makaila nako cla.
