For me its not a groundbreaking performance bump but more like a minorspeed bump, also you need DDR800 for it to out perform DDR1 400 machines.
Intel's conroe E6600 is a lot better it has a $300 tag and it wipes the AMD FX-62 ( which is about $1000 ) off the floor

the Conroe sounds realy tempting with its performance,..... but i'v always been a AMD user,...

im not a loyalist to any companies, ang nindot ug gaming performance ug price akong gi apas, if it turns out during my next upgrade mas nindot na gyud ang intel in price and performance then il go with intel

actually that was AMD's biggest mistake to release AM2 so late and push back K8L, pero ma sabtan ra kay AMD bago pa kaayo sa DDR2 waters ang intel dugay na kaayo sila pwede mo gamit anang DDR2, K8L is supposed to counter Conroe pero problem is K8L is taking to long to be released
