Windows XP is still supported even today. Naa lang gihapon agents ang mo handle ug setup calls and troubleshooting and it was released 2003. Even if they are working on the next iteration sa Windows, that doesn't mean they would stop the support of the current/previous ones. 2011 pa ang gi set nga date para mo stop ang extended support sa XP nya naa pa jud Vista afterwards. It's gonna be at least 5 years until mawala ang support sa Windows 7.
Yeah. Bt its a win7 acct, nt xp. Bakit? If xp pala caller and ur a win7, ud support it? Sa microsoft un, were talking of a bpo here. Bpo depends on call volumes. Aftr all the patches implemented, people will no longer have issues wd the os, they wnt call na. Sa states, kung anu bago, un ang binibili, bundled system kc sila. J.O. ko last month was for win7, this time, baka twc na.
Simple, boss. Cross train the current people. I've actually meet some of these people. They handle ALL ISSUES related to Windows 7, Vista, and XP. They're at i2 mostly. These people were originally trained for Windows 7 ONLY, but were later re-trained to handle XP and Vista calls, which unbelievably has a higher call volume than Windows 7.
From what I understand, the CVG-MS partnership is not just about Windows 7. In the future, it's even possible that the Windows 7 account will loose that name and just become the Windows account handling everything from XP to the rumored Windows 8.
