All,
Just recently cant read DVDs on my LG drive.
HL-DT-ST RW/DVD GCC-H21N
Anyone in the forum knows some issues with regards to drive or OS itself...
Been trying to insert DVD on both system since naka dual boot ko XP and windows 7 but really cant read DVD na jud... been over a year nani nakong gamit then used to read DVD movies too but now once DVD is inserted mublink nlng iya LED sa drive then after few blinks wala nah... CD is inserted na sa drive but still no disk is inserted ang muprompt during selecting the drive...
Appreciate if you can help...

try reinstalling your odd. remove it from device manager then restart your pc. it should automatically reinstall the next time it loads your os.

have tried already... even tried updating the driver but still can not detect...

sata or ide? check the cables. or if not basin conflict tungod sa dual boot.

bro, dvd raba iya dili mabasa pero makabasa siya ug cd? possible nga naa problem imo lens. try pud ug limpyohi ang lens using a lens cleaner

lens cleaner lang bro or if you want,open it and use a cotton swab to wipe off the dirt from your lens..my LG-DVDrw is still in good condition for 3 years now.i never use broken/scratched disk on it kay mau nay hinungdan nga ma-mis-align ang lens nmo....gud luck..

hello... mao pajud pag human nako abli sa drive and ako sad nalimyohan ang lens... effective cya after 1st boot... nakainstall pako ug usa ka game but after a while padung na unta ko install lain di na daun cya mudetect... cge nlng blink after nako geinsert ang DVD then after few blinks wala na...
hahay... di ba kaha ni guba nah? many thanks sa inyo reply ganina.. at least nakainstall kog usa...

basin bro pero if u can try it on another pc mas maayo. kung dili palit nalang bag.o bro. barato naman sad dvd drives tag 1k+ ra.
