ayaw sad undangi ug pangapply on-line....

bro, when it comes to telecoms (let say one particular project) its either new project or expansion lang..kung new project na, expect it would be a very big one (imagine mag-rollout nationwide, example Smart, Globe or even Sun Cellular) these telcos have personnel (preferably ECEs) nga work kung naa rollout and syempre naa permanent people para sa Network Design, Planning, Operations and Maintenance etc..and bro remember na..in every area naa na mga engineers on-call 24/7 kung naa trouble modagan dayon cla sa mga sites kung asa man gani..diri pa lang ni sa pilipinas bro, imagine worldwide man ang demand, though daghan mansad ta kumpetensya sa field ana pero kabalo manta mas ganahan man cla sa ato mga pinoy kay tungod sa ato quality sa work..

    My ECE career path :

after grad - work as a teacher for a Vocational School then :

    - applied as a computer technician - taga unbox ng pc at kabit ng LAN cable
-applied as a computer technician saudi - got most of my experience ( LAN design, AS400, WinTEL support)
-move to Singapore after 5 years and work as a Network Team Lead for a MNC
-got my certifications for Cisco, Avaya, Wintel
-come back after 3 years and work for a MNC back with Singapore Salary ( Pirated)
-have turn down several good offers from local BPO- being pireted ( 70k to 90k++ per month salary)

moral of my story: work in a field that is related to your course. Sayang lng kung magiging bagger kayo sa Sm or call center agent. I started with a very low salary pero it was a great investment on my career path.

    advice for the new grad:

ECE licensure is ok but much better to take certifications for Cisco and Wintel , Avaya

Get out of this country to get more exposure. Tehn comeback

BTW i never took the board exam
