NI last time I know was just a short topic under one area of Nursing.

NI will be at the same level with Psychiatric Nursing, Medical-Surgical Nursing, etc..etc..

Nursing informatics is to bridge the gap of nursing language with the language of technology.

Latest Update for Nursing Informatics:

As for the details, The organization was conceptualized and informally
organized last year (August 2009). As for the update, there is an
on-going collaboration with the Philippine Nursing Research Society
(PNRS) to build an online repository of nursing researches from
different universities nationwide.

Formalization of the group is still underway which includes SEC
registration. A website is being built and scheduled to be deployed
this summer. Informal talks on collaboration with the Philippine Open
Source Network and Social Innovation Lab Philippines is on-going for a
FOSS4Health caravan which will coincide with the Philippine Open
Source Camp on the last quarter of this year or early next year.
