who here loves the book too? i certainly do. and this is coming from someone who hates the Filipino subject because i can barely understand tagalog(i read the full english translation )... it is a very good story.. it is smart and very well written. i like El Fili more, it was dark and i like how Simoun plans his revenge... but Noli was interesting too, how Ibarra transformed to Simoun and the love story of it isn't too bad either..

Being in love with Alexander Dumas's "The Count of Monte Cristo" and related works, how could I refuse "El Filibusterismo"?

sayang talaga you couldn't persist through the Filipino version of the book... there are some faithful English translations but i guess you should try to read the spanish version... astig rin...

yeah, the english translation i read was very faithful... i forgot who translated it.. i would look it up but im too lazy to stand up and look for the book right now.. hehehe. This book is the main reason why i almost failed Filipino subject.. but i love this book.. talk about irony. heh.
