Naka decide ko. Mag MedTech nalang jud ko.
Para makagawas ko and work with my Aunt nga Nurse pud in Florida.
Nia IT kay, MURAG pede ra ma self-learn.
Maluoy man sad ko sakong parents if dili ko makapakita ug LITTLE sacrifice.
Tsk. Pero para nako,
being an HS scholar, BIG SACRIFICE najud. for 4 years.
grabe sad ani ako kahimtang uii.

kahibaw man ko kung utok lang kaya nimo..
pero it's still a different story kung mao'y passion nimo o dili..
(based sa experience lang, lisod jud take ug kurso na di ka ganahan..uu makapasar ka, pero ang fulfillment ug happiness lisod makuha)

if that's your decision then. just pray that you will learn to love whatever course you will be taking. hehe. kay di lalim kon masipyat. in time you will appreciate it naman. i didn't even start to like medtech, coz it's a messy job and difficult sad ang tun-anan, but since i was a kid i have set my mind to go to med school so i had to love and endure med tech kay mao may best kuno. hehe.

my advice is follow your heart's desire kay kon dili gyod nimo like ang course you will end up dropping that course later on, lahi ra ang scope sa medtech and IT courses, u need to explain it to ur parents, makasabot ra na sila

dai Nikki, I know exactly what your going through... and yes, it seems so easy for you to say now na mag medtech nalang ka coz that's what your parents want.. but in the long run, its YOUR future...not theirs... Lisod jud ma successful in doing something which you don't love.. Sisterly advice lang ha... dako man gud possibility you would end up with so many WHAT IFS... tungod lang kay nisunod ka sa ila gusto.. & by the way, mga friends nako who took up I.T. are mostly now abroad... while and mga nag nursing and medtech nangalata pa gihapon sa Pinas ...and sakto ka, dako na au na nga sacrifice ang ni survive ka sci-hi coz I know for a fact d jud lalim anyway, God bless you and unta you will be happy with whatever choice you would have...

But I firmly believe that IT'S ALL ABOUT MIND SET.
I think makaya rani.
Basta matupad lang nako ang ganahan sako parents.
Maybe it'll still be worth fulfilling. Hehe.

Sure! Hehe. I'update tamo if ma Dr. na ko. HAHAHA.
I hope my choice wouldn't make me feel I went into the wrong path.
Hence, it would make me realize that obeying our parents really makes us a better person

nikki, think about it. going for Med tech just to follow your parents is not a little sacrifice, but a BIG SACRIFICE. you will know soon, 2 years later. sleepless nights, way kan-anay, endless lectures, memorizing, pricking, extracting blood. siguro you will breeze through the entire course with flying colors, basig mu topnotch pa ka sa board, but duh? is it what you really want?

no offense sa med tech, but me, i've gone through the whole thing. ang kalahi lang, i had different motives why i took up med tech. i only took it for the sake nga nice siya nga pre med course. and thinking that med school is still far away financially, i tried to work as one months after passing the board exam. and that's when i felt it wasn't the place for me, like 2 weeks after working in a supposed to be my favorite affiliation hospital, resign dayon ko coz i was not happy with the work.

i like the study after all, but i just could never see myself working as one. in the first place, i only took it aron ma gaan2 ang pag med. so like med jud ang focus. now i can't wait for medical school to begin.



another thing is, you can't make other people happy if you are not happy. so if you are not happy with becoming a med tech puhon, that won't make your parents happy either. you might please them but in the long run they will feel sorry for you. so think about it jud.
