Hi na lng ko sa mga nurse dha nga chix.. hehe
vienzel mu matter ba if asa ka na nursing school ni graduate?
1 year na jud ko nga RN... until now wa pa ko ka work as a nurse.... ni apply manpud hinoon ko as a call center before and ni work pud ko for 8 months before i decided to resign... ni resign ko kay nag nurse trainee k sa usa sa mga hospitals.... for only 3 months and it was with pay... at least worth it and gibayad hinoon...
maka-ingon jud ko lisod au mangaply sa hospital labi na if wa jud kay lig-on nga backer ai... as in... based from experience lang jud na nako.. it does not matter kung gamay ra grade sa ilang qualifying exam, as long as ur backer kay lig.on makasulod jud ka... hahayzzzz.... unhan na gud ko sa mas fresh Rn's pa kaysa nako... as in 2009 batches... paets ui....
anyway, ingon ana jud na ang life ... if di ka dawaton diri... di adto ka sa gawas... waheheh
Y such a question? are u worried of hear says? i dont think so... for me lng ha, as long as u can prove ur skills as well as ur worth, y one shud be discriminated to have the application being evaluated?
mao bitaw naa na sila assigned na council to scrutinize applications para mabal-an kinsay angay aprobahan for license. just try submitting all docs needed and make sure all cerifications are true in its value ky usually anha gyud masango.
it's not really discrimination. and yes, you won't find it in their application forms. if you got your nursing degree before the year 2006, you probably have a higher chance of getting approved by their nursing council.
Not really sure how strict Australia is... so good luck with your application.
Here are some news in nz:

I know a number of nurses who are currently working as caregivers/healthcare assistants here in NZ simply because they can't meet the requirements of NZ nursing council.
here's a good guide for nurses planning to go to NZ. -> nurse2nz
The only advantage you can show is years of hospital experience or having worked as a nurse in western countries. Hospital experience is very important.
Doesn't matter where you graduated. Nursing graduates of UP or other schools are treated the same here in NZ once they arrive. They have to go through the same 6-8 weeks Competency Assessment Programme (CAP).
yes, i graduated way b4 2006 and when i applied 1999. it took them awhile before i received notice from them and that was 2001. i was ready to leave for netherlands that time so i personally told them not to continue with the processing. australia and NZ has similarities because they have a similar govt system as well as their medical health care practice.
wonder ko lang, wat made this country so fearful of our nurse training...maybe because of the most recent produce of graduates wherein the quality has tremendously became at its lowest.
as far as i cud remember, they dont have problem with filipino working with them before pa ky dugay naman sila gadawat sa una pa! infact lower ila requirements tanan eg. IELTS band score of 6.5 ra to karon ky each category ky 7.0 and over all pod 7.0.
i read ur links and it mentioned regarding 2nd coursers only becoz they thought the years of practice and training in obtaining BSN is reduced which in my side is NOT TRUE! i took my BSN still in complete 4 yrs....i dont know with other schools though!
