phpBB 2.0.8a :: released 28th Mar 2004

Are we on? or shall we wait for version 2.5? how about 3.0? =) No prizes yet? How about free domain+webspace? How about a video graphics card? Hmm ... will it ever push through? I have no plans to join yet, but I'd love to see something new in this site.

When I said "next version" of phpBB, I meant the next major release and not the incremental "bug fix" versions. The next major release uses a new templating engine which is not compatible with the current version... To make things clearer, I am waiting for phpBB 2.2.0 to be released...

Thats going to take a while. phpBB is known to take it's sweet ass time. Development on the bugfix versions and the new major release is going on simultaneously though, so it shouldn't be too far off ... almost like waiting for Half Life 2. It's out there ... but out of reach. heh.

phpBB 2.0.10 released. still a long way from 2.2.0. the current template blocking system seems to be flexible enough for future compatibility changes. why wait for it?
