    Default 2 in 1 - Power Supply + UPS.

    I would say this is more of business rather than science. Companies can have both of them in one but do all people really need it? Not all people can afford uninterruptible power supplies. Not all people also need them. Although, it seems very very useful because it protects your pc. My experience with UPSes is in the labs. Most delicate pc-controlled equipment really need a UPS. You might be have liquid Nitrogen source that could leak due to a blackout. hehe! Another experience that I've seen is with semi-supercomputers running simulations. They normally have or should have a UPS.

    Maybe that is why you have the option to buy a UPS separately. People like having options. Not all people want to buy stuff even if it can really help. But then again, 2 in 1 PS and UPS is cool! hehehe!

    If thats the case technologist already built that before already.

    Please consider that UPS = to provide your PC a short time back up power for you to save your work during brownouts or sudden electric power shortage and has many automatic features as well.
    PSU are not the same thing even not closely identical.

    PSU = to provide power for your computer hardware parts but electric power dependable.

    like ra gud sa laptop naa na backup nga battery so pariha rani kung E combine nmo ang duha!

    that's impossible..for now..labi na f high-end imong mga pc parts lyk video cards (samot f nka CF or SLI)..

    imposible kung dili buhaton pero kung ila ni himuon Im sure pwede kaayu!!!!

    Not entirely impossible. However, ang UPS naa gyud na battery, so imagine the size of you PSU if naa battery included. Possible na external na lang, dili na i sud sa imo PC. Ang mo sud padung sa imo pc would be the molex and all connectors neccesarry.

    I would say its plausible. The company could even save kay pwede na man usahon ang circuitry needed.

    i don't think its impossible.. its just that wala pa lang ta kagamit or nakakita.

    here's an example of a battery-backed psu;
