Tell me who your friends are and I tell you who you are. Gibo has been a staunched supporter of GMA. So, if this fake-president (an economist, Harvard graduate) is supposed to “save us” from miseries. Then, how come Philippines is still ranked on the 2nd from the bottom, outdoing only Bangladesh. Did she fulfill her promise of 1 million jobs a year when she campaigned for office? Did Gibo say anything on the Fertilizer Scam, the ZTE scandal, the infamous Arroyo-Garci tapes wherein GMA herself admitted during the first time it came out that it was her voice on the tape before all the cover-ups happened?
Smooth-talking people and image-projection (esp for Filipinos good and clean-cut boyish looking can be deceiving) is being practiced. Remember they have PR personnel as well that counsels them. Emotional appeal is high during election time and that is exactly what they are employing. Filipinos should be VIGILANT and the way to be one is by employing rationality --- DEAL and ANALYZE ON THE PAST ISSUES because we have very short-term memory and very emotional as a people in general. What happened during the 10-year of this present administration and their cohorts will be projected years from now and we are already suffering the consequences of it. We need a president who will fight and protect the Filipinos from those who have stolen from our coffers especially stolen the ballots in the past elections. They can not go on with impunity because the cancer continues to spread when these trapos go scot-free. They are running around now with impunity because they know how Filipinos are. I find it so helpless that the current administration is using MY TAX MONEY to propagate their candidates. ANG KAPAL NA TALAGA NG MUKHA NILA. And to have GIBO sit on the presidency, that will be the day that GMA will have the ultimate last laugh (God Forbid).
Their strategy is sneaky and lethal. They are dissociating GIBO from GMA for they know the latter is quite unpopular. If GIBO has any love for country, he could have served the Filipinos in a different way and not under a corrupt administration. For those associated with the current regime, their loyalty is to the president /political party and not to principles of the country.
If we are happy with the way things are now, then by all mean vote GIBO for he is the alter-ego of GMA. It’s that simple.
Again, Tell me who your friends are and I tell you who you are. Just look at the past and current issues and see where he stands. That’s more important. Don’t ask what he will do for the country when he sits in office for that is still in the future and the future is not yet here. They know Filipinos have only the present in their memory so they will forget if their promises were ever accomplished. By then, it is too late to regret voting for him. Just as many regretted voting for GMA. I don’t have any regrets because I did not vote for her. I am more AFRAID of voting for a suave-talking , well-educated person who has not proven their words in deeds.
The way to fight this emotionally appealing election time is to dig the past issues. Be critical in the advertisements because they are sanitized to appeal to the masses. Their words must be backed by their deeds.
