here we go again mosimos... look, there are flaws in ALL religions and ALL beliefs and ALL humans... so are you saying that you are sinless enough to cast the first stone, my brother? if there's one thing i've learned in this thread, it's that discussion is healthy until someone tries to force their ideas down your throat... then it gets ugly.

bro there are many ways of defending the truth....sometimes tact and diplomacy is needed ...instead of a holier than thou attitude....

The entire idea behind discussion is that it assumes that we adhere to logical, rational principles. That is what makes any discussion possible. But at the same time, it enables one to make objective assessments on whether a person's arguments are valid or not. The introduction of factual evidence also allows us to assess whether a person's claims are factual or not.

That is what I and some others have been trying to do here. We are assessing certain claims made against the Church, and we have found them to either be based on flawed arguments or without evidence.

bro...objective discussion is one thing....belittling each others' opinions or beliefs is another....sometimes we get carried away in our desire to get our message across....i hope we remember to remain objective so we can continue having a healthy discussion diba....

@ shoe_less, i suggest bai, if your are Catholic even if non-practicing, you baptize your child. manny is right, it will not deny him/her of his/her right to choose when the time comes.

yes, i agree also with those holier than thou attitudes, and we can found that usually those inside the churches, they are usually judgemental and gossip mongers. I also agree that it is pissing and irratating, i also have my share of that experience even up to now. But those are not reflections of the true Church, they are mere irritants of our faith.

Advise lang nako mga bro, let us not mind them or worse make them yardsticks of our own Catholic faith. Let us follow "Christ" and fix our eyes on Him and only Him, for those people are human which commits mistakes like us, even they are inside the pedestal of the churches thats not necessarily makes them holy. Let us follow Jesus as our Lord and Saviour. However, if we want a human example of righteousness, we can emulate Mary, the mother of Jesus and or any saints we are Close and had studied their righteous lives.
