The Philippine Amphibian and Reptile Association (PARA) is formally established on 8 Oct 2008.
Mission
To broaden the understanding and appreciation of amphibians and reptiles and its ecological importance.
Objectives
1. To represent the interest of Philippine herpetoculturists.
2. To conduct research on exotic herpetofauna pets in the Philippines.
3. To establish a baseline of herpetofauna pets in the Philippines.
4. To establish and share guidelines on proper husbandry and propagation techniques of amphibian and reptile pets in Philippine setting.
5. To educate the public about herpetofauna and herpetoculture through various media such as publications and forum.
6. To facilitate an adoption program for unwanted herpetofauna pets.
7. To cooperate with other institutions and share vital information for the advancement of herpetological knowledge.
