im using kingston hyperx ddr3 (KHX1600C8D3T) XMP on my i5 rig, best mem i ever had
just curious, what makes RAM to be considered high end and not? any pointers out there? i think I'm in the market for a pair soon. thanks
sorry double post

timings/voltage scaling & how high it can go from its rated freq. sa timings for example...kadto akong Cellshock 2x1gb DDR2-1066 can have 4-4-4-12 @ 1000/1066MHz at 2.3v...at 1.8v it can go 5-5-5-12 @ 1066MHz...kanang naa ron nimong Team Xtreem Special Ed.(w/ the special ram coolers) that you got from me...payter pud kaayo na master CE...
sa freq...the Cellshock can go as high as 1200MHz @ 5-6-6-15 timings @ 2.45v...
all these are made possible by using Micron D9 ram chips...
but kung dili ka mag OC...useless buying branded rams...Kingston value rams will do the job...esp. kadtong ilang modules using Qimonda ram chips...very reliable/durable....

practically wala ra...for example...ang stock timings sa Kingston rams is 5-5-5-15 @ 1.8v DDR2-800 while ang OCZ Platinum Low Latency would be 4-4-4-12 @ 2.1v DDR2-800...i don't think ma feel nimo ang difference sa duha on a stock clock system...
