well, let's look at the situation.
Byron had a very important foreign guest in the name of Travis Payne. He, Mr. Payne and those together w/ him had a pass in the sports center but not necessarily a VIP pass. Mr Payne was a choreographer for the late Michael Jackson and wanna see and help create new dance steps for the inmates who were performing there. I'm sure Mayor Tomas knew that.
the Sinulog affair is a neutral cultural and religious event, and not a political event. Anybody can be there even if you are political enemies as long as you have tickets, except the VIP area where Tomas can screen who he wants in it. Perhaps that's one way for him to show to everybody who is boss. Perhaps Byron was taunting him about the VIP pass.
As for Gwen joining or not in the performance w/ one of the contingents, it is her choice. Of course, you cannot blame some people to put color on it coz she is a politician after all. Everybody knows the rift between her and Tomas. But that's irrelevant. The dance is a tribute to Sto Nino and not about politics whatsoever. That would be the same thing if Margot Osmena joined too.
We all know this is not the first time Gwen joined a Sinulog performance. The only time you can question her why she's there performing is if it was her first time. But it's not. Besides, I can't think of any way nga mka samok na.
Remember, duha ang version sa story. If Tomas is to be believed, he shun Byron out of the VIP area. If Byron is to be believed, he went down together w/ the group to get a closer view of the performers.
Whichever version you believe, it is always your choice...for me, I don't care. Besides, nganong mahibung paman ta ana? It already happened before. Ang mas importante, very successful ang Sinulog. Nalingaw ang mga tawo.
If one can opine that murag iro c Byron gibugaw ni Tomas, for me they both are dogs. Tomas is also acting like one: a male alpha dog that sensed another male dog trespassed into his territory. and bitches too.
