this is my first time to join this sinulog photo contest....i thought when they issued us the I.D's pwede na ta maka access sa tanang activities involving the sinulog. that was stipulated in the photo contest categories. during the fluvial me and my office mate went to pier 1 to take some shots during the arrival of the holy child. pero pag-sulod nako sa gate gi-sugat dayon ko ug blue guard ug usa ka pulis kay ang ato daw I.D para ra sa Grand Parade. Mao ba? ako sila gipangutana why man kanang uban photographers nag I.D pa sa sinulog photo contest gipasulod man nila. ila tubag nanguha daw to sila ug I.D jud sa sto. niño para access sa pantalan. ang uban intawn nga photographers (especially from out of town) ga-bagulbol kay ngano gud tawn para sa grand parade ra ang ato I.D nga kanang fluvial apil na man na sa category nga gi-mention sa contest. so ang wala kasulod wala kakuha ug maayong pics during the arrival. i truly believe that we cannot please everybody pero ila lang sab unta klarohon ang limitations sa ato I.D kung asa ra ta nga activity sa sinulog nga pwede maka-access. i dont know kung naa ba silay info nga gi-dissimenate nga katong mo-kuha sa fluvial kinahanglan mo-lukat ug I.D. sa sto. niño otherwise dili pasudlon sa pier. but in fairness all-in-all lingaw ra sab gihapn kaau labi na during sa sinulog sa kabataan.

yup that's what i think also nga maka access ta sa tanan. i think you're right wala na sila na-inform siguro ug tarong hasta tong pulis. well anyway, humana na man to cge nalang charge to experience hehehe

You need a different ID to enter Pier 1. You need to register for Crowd Control ID. When I asked Sinulog Foundation about the route of the fluvial, they replied that the fluvial falls under religious activity and that I should contact, forgot who, probably she meant the people from Basilica del Sto Niño. So whoever organized the Fluvial, if they tell the guards not to allow the photographers without the proper ID then you can't get in. I think the guards are well informed since they even recognized your IDs. There are some lucky ones who got inside though. Well, you can't catch all the fish diba? Swerte nato sa uban nga naka sulod even without the proper ID. There are plenty of other locations to shoot from.

as i've said its my first time to join this and i think some first timers also didn't know about this so called Crowd Control I.D. and need to register for it. well, that's true we can't catch all the fish and can't even please everybody all the time. have to charge it to experience na lang and take note next time that we need that other I.D for this kind of activity.
