I got a question..............if Jesus practice at one point in his life Buddhism? assuming its true..........does it make sense to still continue following Christianity? Or does it make more sense just to leave Christianity behind and practice directly Buddhism?

ako lang...what makes us Christian is that we adhere and follow to the teachings of Jesus, most of which is about understanding, love and peace...

these very same tenet are also found in Buddhism and other religion, why is there a need to leave Christianity then...

to study and to practice is two different things. And if he did practice buddhism, it does not lessen him as being a Christ. Deal with it !!

Christianity is a sect, a group of people who believe in Jesus Christ, as well as buddhism who believe in Buddha. But Christ and Buddha are two omnipotent being , who are above being Christian or beign Buddhist.

hmmmmm..........I guess we got different beliefs about Christ.......In my belief......Christ is a God.......he is by nature omnipotent(all powerful) and omniscient(all knowing)..........with that characteristic..........why should he study when he knows everything? Whats the point? But that's base on my belief.......but if your belief is that Christ is just human.......that means he had to study because humans in nature had limited intelligence and knowledge.................

And regarding studying and practicing......I guess studying and practicing are synonymous to each other at some point....I repeat at some point.......example......a martial artists studying martial arts........how can he be sure if what he had studied is really right if he wont apply(practice it)......it would be ridiculous for him to claim that he knows martial arts(he thinks he knows because he read loads of articles about it) if he don't know what to do during actual combat..........

Besides understanding, love and peace.......most Christians teaches that Christ is God.........now a God, who existed before the universe existed, which didn't know about the teachings of Buddha is simply a false God......don't you think?

Unless you belong to a group of Christians who think that Jesus is just a mere human.........then I guess it is acceptable in your group that Jesus studied other religions before he preach his new and improved truth..................

i do believe Jesus is both human and God, but i am not a lesser Christian because i have an open mind and may have reason to believe in the lost years of Christ...thats why i open my statement with sa "ako lang"...

and i am a devout catholic and if you discriminate me because of my views then i am sorry for you...youre just being unchristian...

keeping biographical data of a person 2000 years ago seemed very bleak..only those siginificant happenings/works of Jesus Christ was being passed from either word of mouth or thru personal text accounts

but if i were to speculate..maybe Jesus Christ helped His father with the carpentry job..or helped His mother with the household chores..or perhaps played with His buddies, just typical scenarious of a simple human being
