brothers...do you really think you are making your God happy with how you are handling yourselves? why can we not have a discussion ...sharing our faith and admitting weaknesses (kay sige man jud mo agree tanan nga di perfect)...instead of nit picking on each others' post and proving who knows better?

ako i am catholic...but i am also aware of my religion's strengths and weaknesses....and besides i really do not think it matters much which religion you belong to....what matters most is your personal relationship with God.....ako lang na ha...awayon gani ko ninyo labayon jud ta mo usa ka balde nga popcorn!! I've been reading this topic with so much interest but never cared to post or share my opinion. If you were to ask me, Yes, I'm a Catholic and yes, I'm Christian too..

I've attended both Catholic and Protestant gatherings (although this may seem heretical and blasphemous to some fundamentalist Catholics out there), and I can not really decide. But what I do believe is that Jesus Christ came down to save us. That is the core of Christianity the fact that it's basically called "Christianity". It seems funny how some posters here talk about "truth". My opinion on this "truth" is that no one can really prove what is right or wrong. I have to admit, being a church goer, there are flaws in all sides.

But I stick to what I believe in and what my faith tells me. You see faith is a complicated thing. I feel offended when one mocks other churches (be it Catholic or Protestant). I don't know how God would feel about this.

I'm a Catholic and it'll stay that way. I personally believe though that unpopular Catholic ideas in social issues, such as anti-abortion, anti-contraceptive, and so on and so forth, is the most appropriate thing as regards to moral good. I know many hate catholics because of this, I'm ready to accept that. I've been stoned many times for airing my views on abortion, contraceptive, death sentence, so on and so forth. Many calling me self-righteous. It hurts but that's what I believe in.

And here, this makes my first and last post on this thread. I have to admit, this is very interesting thread we have here..

Bro, you are there. I mean, you are really a Catholic by faith. Those are the most important indicators that you are one with the Church.

There is no need to add works to faith to be saved because faith is what produces works. The kind of works done out of love and no longer of human effort.

Faith can and does cause persons to do good works. That's good. But the point we are making is that faith ALONE does not save.

James 2:24 clearly states: "See how a person is justified by works and not by faith alone.". Works are REQUIRED. Without them, faith does NOT save.

It's right there, clear and explicit, in the Bible. I didn't write it. It's not my fault it's there. But it is. I never mean to hurt people, but what can I do except affirm the truth that's there?

peace bro............there is nothing more to argue...............I didn't even mean to attack or criticize other religions...................but I'm happy that you guys see first hand what is it like to attack or criticize others faith................and see what it is like to be a Catholic being bombarded with hatred and harsh criticisms......peace bro..........

actually, am not Catholic and will never be. That's is why I don't like anybody feeling that there religion/sect is the all knowing one. Just remember guys, no religion can save you, only prepare you for what's about to come, if its coming
