Tabunan is a remote mountain barangay of Cebu City situated at the boundary of
Cebu City and Balamban. This is the last stronghold of the Filipino guerillas fighting
against the Japanese. The remaining forest of Cebu is found in this place where the
siloy birds inhabit and so with the rare cinnamon cebuensis tree is found. The
forest of Tabunan is home to the Tugas trees. The rare quadricolor bird is also found
in the Tabunan forest.
