Working in Qatar?

Hi istoryans..I'm a female and I recently got a good job offer and position in Qatar. But i'm doubtful about the country. If it's safe para sa mga women foreigners working there. what's the rules? I am used to a lot of freedom, being able to buy whatever I want very easily, wearing whatever I want, equality and all that comes with living in a western society.

But I would like to know the reality of it. Please post all your experiences.

i think doha is an expatriate-friendly city..
daghan sad pinoy didto.
my cousin is working there, pero wala nami communication ron..
last time we talked kat nag-enjoy pud siya didto..
mga fellow ofw rapud iya ka-jam..
pero kung first time daw ka didto, dapat dili daw magkumpyansa even sa kababayan rapud..
extra caution lang payts na..

I know a guy who works at Qatar. Freedom? He saids nga dili siya maka sulod ug mall nga siya ra usa. Bawal daw guys mosulod ug mall nga siya ra nag hiniusa kay pang pamilya daw ang mall. Also, basin man tsiks lang daw ang mga guys didto. By the way, this only refers to foreigners didto. The only time maka sulod siya ug mall kay dapat jud siya mukuyog ug female friend. Imagine kung bored ka sa Pinas and you want to unwind kay adto lang ka sa mall pero not in Qatar. Hehe...

hi,

im working in qatar now. mg.two years nko next month diri. under sa muslim law bawal man jud ang unmarried couples magkuyog, tapos sa damit dapat conservative. pero i doubt ginasunod ni na law ky twice a week ko laag sa mall cge kog kita mga couples (clarong di minyo) na mgkuyog dayon holding hands pa. tapos cge na pud kog kita mg.short na babae... well, advice ko lng, if going wid opposite s.e.x .ayaw lng lambing2x sa public ky sensitive mga Qatari ana tapos sa damit long pants at blouse are perfectly fine.... im sure mkasurvive ka diri. we are 200t pinoys here. mostly guys noon... So gud luck!

thank you so much it enlighten me of what to expect. Coz i don't wanna put my standard too high ba for dissappointment but nice ni nga view imong g-hatag nako. at least coming from someone whose really there.

Aside from long pants and blouse, do i have to wear katong traditional clothing sa women kanang naay scarf and long gown in black?
