Canon 7D users

thanks guys! any idea what zoom lens fits best with a 7D? I might sell my 24-70 and get a wider focal length and another zoom lens. any suggestions?

zoom lens will depend on what you're shooting. i have the the 24-70 but it's not wide enough on the wide end and not far enough on the telephoto end.

i intend to use the 7D to capture candid portraits so my 70-200 f/2.8 with 7D is perfectly mated to my 5D + 24-70 f/2.8

hmm.. will it be better to save more for a 5dmk2 instead? than buying a 7D with my glass not on it's full potential?

or get a 7D, sell my 24-70, then buy a 17-40L and a 70-200L? switching lenses whenever needed?

studio photography ako tuyo bro.. ma kaya na kaha sa 17-40L sa sulod sa studio with a 7D?

24-70 is soft for serious portraiture, even my 50 f/1.8 can match the 24-70 when stopped down to f/5.6

why not get primes?

mao ba bro? cge.. ako ka deal c phirero karon.. trade mi sa iya 17-40L which I can use for group shots inside the studio. then I'll buy primes sa iya i add na cash. any idea which is the best prime for serious portraiture?

if money is no object, the 85mm 1.2 is the best whether on full frame or crop frame! 85mm 1.8 is great also
