The Mavericks knew they needed to be better offensively in Game 2. A lineup change helped make that a reality. Behind a big second quarter and a balanced attack, Dallas recorded an easy 113-91 win at San Antonio on Tuesday that evened the Western Conference Semifinals at one game apiece. After his team managed only 85 points in the series opener, Dallas coach Avery Johnson gave Devin Harris a rare start at the point and the second-year guard responded with 20 points. Josh Howard, limited to 17 points in the series opener, tallied 27 and nine rebounds. Dirk Nowitzki had 21 points and nine boards, while Jerry Stackhouse scored 19 for the Mavs, who built a 58-38 advantage at halftime and held at least a 14-point lead thereafter. Tim Duncan paced San Antonio with 28 points. Game 3 is Saturday at Dallas (5 p.m. ET, ESPN).
Shut Up! Let your GAME do the talking!
Go MAVS!
The Mavericks, of course, readjusted their plays and wnt on for the win. The Spurs should know that is a totally different team that they have encountered years ago...
Mavs coach avery johnson has the upperheand because he knows a bit of Spurs coach Popovich's style of play and the Mavs are familiar with the Spurs' strategy. BUt of course, the Spurs wouldn't just back down... they are the defending champs and they should emerge victorious.
Hey, this is a Mavs fan thread. Spurs fan have no business coming in here. Or at least a little respect for the Mavs please.
This is war man! Go to your camp.
have you seen how many drives dirk foiled in game 2?! parker? horry?...now, that's D man!
Hey... i was just talking about how Spurs should handle the series, they are the defending champs are therefore they should play like one. I actually would like to see the Mavericks pull this one out and give the Spurs a run for their money. I'm tired of seeing their fundamental plays and every year hearing them out making the top 4 in the NBA playoffs. I'd like to see two different teams in the Western Conf. Finals...Originally Posted by mosimos

As mosimos said, this is a Mavs fan thread... hehe... if you're neutral, join with the sportswriter... hehe (just kidding... man)
Anyway, I like the way Devin Harris played. He is so intense, I remembered driving towards TD! TD has to back down.
My wild guess is that if the Mavs keep the tempo up (scoring more), they would win this series. Spurs is more of a play by play team, consuming more time. So score 100+ and we will still be alive.. hehe
Robo kaau ang Mavs gabii... hehe.. it's like a do or die game. Remember Finley was hit in the nose? (cya pajud foul); Manu dropped with his tailbone and was "sungag"-ed by Devin Harris? Yah, this is no "soft" Mavs team that the West knew years ago...
Go Mavs!
Yeah. And to think that there are Mavs balingbings on the Spur side like Finley and Nick Van Exel.
Can you imagine the Spurs lineup? Its like an All Star team. Duncan, Ginobili, Parker, Horry, Finley, Van Exel, Brent Barry! Whew.
Yet naglugos sila ug daug sa Mavs sa Game One. Plus gilubong pa gyud sila sa Game 2.
Mavs na sad oi! Sum-ol na kaayo ng San Antonio.
