that is, if he/she is molding him/herself to be a clone or too lazy to catch up on common sense. the very guy who introduced me to extreme metal is a priest, he used to hangout with guys who breath negativity day-in,day-out, but it didnt turn him into one. the only thing that kept him from hanging out with them is because of his missionary works that keeps him away most of the time.... so i cant really agree on that if you hangout with ****ed up people makes you one aswell. its the actions you choose that makes you...

The problem with you chad is you are trying to personalize the idea. Here is how it goes.
The focus here is not the listeners, its the band... don't you get it. These bands were somehow labeled as satanist. If you take offense on that then that is not my problem. It is just the way it is... they are public property as far as i am concern, and yes they are subject to critics... Sorry chad, this is not about you being a good boy. Dont change the subject. If it does not affect your life so whats the DEAL? hmmmmm.

i love Underoath cause they're just being honest with themselves. They are a christian metal band with brief emo-pop period between 2003 to 2006. Thank God they realized their true musical calling as is now back in being a heavy metal band with a twist... and that twist is usually found in the album's closing song that sounded like a cross between Bjork and Erasure...

On topic, heavy metal is a broad word, sir TS. It consists of numerous subgenres, and the one that your singling out for the purpose of your thread title is Black Metal. More specifically, Norwegian Black Metal.

These metalheads from Norway are the perfect examples of Satan worshippers. But, just because they are, you can't accuse the whole Heavy Metal genre to be Satanic.

It's like you're calling a bunch of apples rotten just because one of them has a worm in it. Pfft.
