Looks good ... less fuel could mean less in cost of flying wc is always good... we shall see...

But I really hope these guys think about more leg room for passengers... ahhhhh don't u just hate being crammed in your seat for 13-16 hrs of flight across the Pacific

That's an airline's decision, not Boeing's. Space onboard an aircraft is finite. For a given cabin space, more legroom also mean fewer passengers. That means the cost of a given flight will be spread across fewer people. Which means higher fares.

Boeing versus Airbus is something that takes on the proportions of a religious debate. Both are just as fruitless.

For airlines, it's a matter of which company gives them a better deal. As for pilots? Well, they'll always love whatever it is they're flying at the moment.

Boeing shares and volume overshadow those of Airbus and is comparable to those of Airbus' parent company, EADS. Boeing has their hands in a lot more cookie jars than Airbus. So as a company, clearly Boeing > Airbus ... no religion needed.

Company-wise, yes. But the poster was talking about the aircraft, saying Airbus aircraft were obsolete compared to Boeing. Which isn't the case.

And yes, Airbus has been outstripping Boeing Commercial in terms of orders.

From what I understand of the post, he said Boeing (as a company) was better than Airbus ... and pretty much everyone else. He never mentioned a single aircraft, so technically, he is right ... Boeing > Airbus. Commercial airliners is just one part of Boeing.
