Religion is not merely believing on a Supreme Being. Religion is a way of life. The Buddhists don't have a supreme being which they call god but they have an exemplar person in whom they follow because of how he lived his life...so why are they called a religion? its because they take risk on what they believe not just because of a supreme being.
As what my professor in philosophy of religion told me, Religion is not merely believing, it is how I take risk on what I believe, or how I live my life or what i am doing right now...
