You were dissapointed with their lack of originality? That's what sony specializes in!
They were supposed to be an add-on for Nintendo's project but somehow Nintendo cut them from the deal. Sony got pissed and decided to continue with the play station.
Notice the "select" "start" button?
Even the Playstation controller adapted it's early origins from Nintendo and SEGA controllers (ergonomic curve).
Nintendo's the innovative group (came up with the motion sensor stuff first, no debate there)
Microsoft's the showcase (Xbox Live and Entertainment Center value)
Sony's good at what they do.. whatever that is.

heh yeah if i had money for every console i'd get all.. so far i haven't been able to find time to play with the PSP, the PC, and the Xbox 360.. wonder if i'll have time to play with the PS3 when it's released.. then there's the nintendo DS still bangin in my mind.

Oh...ohhh..Whats the used of having a Joypad without that feature, whats the used of playing Gran Turismo in which you cant feel every pitch, drop & curve of the race track or when you slam the brakes & accelerate when you exit on an S-curve. I hope the 3rd party companies like "Logitech" will design a Rumble Pad for the PS3. If they dont..well..playing games, especially driving games without the rumble feature; is like having *** without an orgasm!
