download software bro... name is opanda exif editor
sulayi kuno kini ang i-DL: http://www.opanda.com/en/iexif/index.html
freeware raman na sir
then take a picture. kana nga picture ang i-load sa opanda. basically, load the last picture taken by the camera sa opanda. then pangitaa ang Total Number of Shutter Releases for Camera.

D40 pud ko. around 9k nako karon.
check diri sir ay: nikon d40 | Camera Shutter Life Database
i think gikan sa experiences sa D40 users.
for me lang, dili kaayo mu matter ang actuations. sa ako pud nabasahan, kay depende man pud na sa pag gamit nimo sa imong camera. if high-speed shooting ka, dali ra ang wear and tear sa shutter assembly. so, possible nga mu give up at lesser actuations.
pero don't worry too much bout sa actuations. just keep shooting lang. and enjoy
thnx for the info bro....so it means bro na normal speed shutter bro would be fitting to use during shots depende lang sa mode.....ask lang sad ko bro...unsa lens angay paliton bro...beside sa kit lens..unya asa sad ta kapalit ug Uv filters ug lenshood diri bro nga barato?
Can't you check the shutter release count right from the unit itself? Ie. butons to press fo you to access the total shutter release count?
Opanda does not work with Canon models cz dili nko makita iya shutter count with it
