There is nothing fishy about the story. After the therapist left the Korean immediately raised the alarm and alerted management who then alerted the police. The fact that the therapist did not return for duty is cause to believe he felt guilty and wanted to elude capture.
You'll also notice that the Korean woman did NOT ask for a male masseur but was TOLD that only a male masseur was available because they had run out of female therapists (her other friends were given female therapists). So all the comments saying she was looking for *** are just stupid and retarded. You people need to learn how to read. The story clearly states that she only agreed because there was no female therapist available for everyone, and she was sharing the room with her friend. So how anyone could conclude that the parlor is of ill repute or that the korean women were there for *** is beyond me, that's just plain stupid.
In any case a rape case can stand on the basis of even just the victim's testimony, so long as the victim is of good character. None of you have any evidence that the Korean woman is immoral or mentally unstable, if you are assuming just because she is Korean, then maybe you are letting your bias or racism get in the way of your judgment. There might also be damning forensic evidence in this case collected by the police which would almost certainly result in a conviction.
The problem with rape cases is that it's easy to allege but difficult to prove. The further problem is that innocent people can go to jail because of the almost infantile assumption by the Supreme Court that a Pinay would never lie about being raped because of the embarrassment, even though there have been numerous cases where indeed the girl lied to get back at the guy. Of course in this case, since the woman is not Pinay, then people find it easier to belittle her allegations. Maybe what is being raped here is our sense of fairness and openness to our foreign guests.
Anyway I'm really shocked that people misread the story, it is in plain and simple English that even a 3rd grader should be able to understand. It makes me wonder about the state of education in our country...
