    Default Mandaue to become the Makati of the South?

    MANDAUE City Mayor Jonas Cortes bared some of his to-do list in 2010—to attract more investors, make the city the “Makati of the South” and use P36 million to develop the dumpsite.

    In a press conference yesterday, the mayor also thanked majority councilors, who now support him as the chief executive.

    The mayor hopes to see business establishments sprouting because of confidence in the city.

    His first objective is to simplify systems such as the application for business permits to show these investors that the City fully supports them.
