    Very helpful post sir!

Sharing lng sd ko some info/tips:

    1. Dont rely on the file numbering of the cam. pwede raman na e reset or if the count reaches 9999 something, it will go back to 0001.

    2. for canon users: If you are shooting in sequence already file # 0001,0002,0003,etc.. then you borrow someones mem card na canon with a count of 8940 or whatever, it will jump to that numbering. Its not a big deal thou, thats why dont rely much on the the file numbering.

Some members posted some tools to check internally the shutter count, i think that would be more reliable.

IMHO: dont be so "paranoid / OC" with the shutter count, its like cars, it doesnt mean that when the manufacturer says its lifespan is just 100,000 miles your car dies/breaks down on that specific mileage. Its a give or take. Had a 350D before and lasted around 3years with me and i think more than 50,000 and its shutter didnt break down.. while after my 350d, i bought a 30d, just it reached a year + the shutter brokedown and i didnt even used it that much unlike my 350d. Had the shutter assembly replaced for around P2500.

    3. VERY IMPORTANT TIP: BE VERY CAREFUL ON ONLINE TRANSACTIONS!

Buying 2nd hand or even Bnew units online (specially on ebay,tipidpc,etc.). There are alot of SCAMS / MODUS already.

See link for details and comments of other consumers. Will be posting this soon here in istorya too!

    ONLINE SCAM #1

To prove that this is not just a copy and paste from an online blog, im sharing you my personal experience with the same person/modus.

    add info for lens buying:

    - check the lens code in the rear portion. it may say "UX****" means that the lens is manufactured last 2009. For lens code chart refer to this link.

above is for canon lenses....if naay nakahibaw pod sa nikon, sigma, tokina, and tamron lenses, please post.
