mine is not really adoption but fostering an 8 year old kid. DSWD will conduct interviews for you and your immediate family to see if you are capable - emotional, mental, financial and physical. i was single then living in my parents house so they wanted to hear my parents opinion on my plan of fostering the kid. but if you are married of course they will ask your wife/husband about it. anyway, fostering is guardianship under the supervision of DSWD. if you have a lot of queries about adoption, please go to DSWD coz they will also tell you on all the possible problems you may encounter if you adopt a baby/kid. they will really tell you everything the pros and cons.
