Upgrading to ddr3, need suggestions

hello mga sir, i'm planing to upgrade my system this january. I would like unta to hear your suggestions on my proposed setup to my brother. My current setup is Q9400, striker extreme, i3d Gtx 260 oc ed. and 2gb x 2 gskill trident ddr2 1066. Me and my bro are planing to fuse our budget. I built a setup and before i would show it to my bro i wanna hear your concerns. Here's what i have come up, Intel i5, Maximus 3 Formula, PC hd 5850 1gb 256bit & 2gb x 2 Gskill Ripjaw ddr3 1600. I'm aware about the x8 when you do xfire and i'm ok with it since on my current P45, Sli is on x8 man daw ghapon. We just want a rig that would last for about 5 years from now and i think this build is the answer. Last for 5 years in the sense na di me kelangan mu.upgrade anything. The heaviest game we'll play on this rig would just be WoW. And one more concern, i heard that hd 5850 has low wattage issues. Is this true? I'm concerned kay my current PSU is a SS strider 500w. I hope makaya niya. Please i wanna hear your thoughts and suggestions are most welcome Good day

Depende sa imo budget i7 can handle heat more then the older processors

by january, if i will be able to sell my video card, mobo, and processor, i will have enough budget for Asus Maximus 3 Formula (16k), Gskill Ripjaw 4gb x 2 (5.2k), i5 (9.5k), PC hd 5850 (14k). prices are from TPC, the cheapest i found for each one. i can afford all those by January but if mag i7 ko which is around 14k (i think) then, ako buakon ako piggy bank na hapit na unta mapuno

It really depends... do you want to play this xmas ? or suffer ?

It's like waiting for a new video card to be released? Should i buy the "other" video card now? or wait til next year?

Reasons why TPC is sometimes a bad idea to buy.

First: Lots of scammers, like istorya :/ naa sad dinhi sad kaau!
Second: Warranty, ship nsad nimo balik ang item sa manila ? then wait longer since e hatag man nila sa suppler.
Third: The prices they show don't include shipping.
Fourth: Most items in TPC are second hand items, but claim they are brand new, gdhan kaau ko na experience ani including members sa istorya dinhi, so watch out.

I always recommend buying locally, less hassle also with warranty, like silverstone brand

^i'm not gonna buy at TPC sir, i'm just basing its prices so that i know how much i would have to save i would still consider buying locally here in Cebu para dali ra kaayo ma-asikaso ang warranty
