yup, kaya ra kaayu bai,
all you need to do is first;
1. acquire/purchase your biometric hardware from any 3rd party providers,
2. Read their manual, or ask them how to use their API. Most of these biometric hardwares provides API and set of libraries on how to use it, most of them are in DLL.
3. Learn how to dynamically link libraries in VB 6, use google.
4. Write test applications that test VB6<->Hardware usage.
5. Write your app!
kaya ra Bai. nakapalit mi (company I am working presently) ug U.R.U. 4500 Fingerprint Reader, including SDK niya for VB6. Then kami ra nagdevelop sa amo Bio Entry namo diri sa office.
i had a project once using fp scanner (digital persona). i think it's the cheapest fp scanner. it cost around 4k-5k. use google to get digital persona sdk...source codes are included with their sdk. oh, it comes with vb6 sample codes as well...
Naa b kay source codes for vb.net? Actually naa me fingerprint scanner from e-gizmo(Biometric FingerPrint Reader).. Ang problema is kung pano kuhaon ang data from serial port..Napalagyan na namin ng serial port ung device..
Need help guys...
If you can secure a code in VB6 then you translate that code to VB.NET using p/invoke. Use VB.NET if possible, VB6 is already dying and no longer supported by M$...
super kaya jud kau bai.. infact mao na amo gamit ron sa amo skul... bag.o pajud kau ni namu gi implement.
Hello mate,
kaya rana bai...as long as u know where the data store..dili na kinahanglan nimo nga mangayo pakag permission sa dll nga gigamit sa biometrics. all you have to do is kabalo ka unsa/asa gi save ang data inig login... thats all...
Kay sa amoa nasuwayan... ang data inig log-in sa employee ma save man sa access. so dali ra keu? diba... gikan sa access amoa ng i extract padung sa temporary table > then from that didto naka mag filter depende sa pay schedule setup.
yup... kaya ra ... but with the APIs, you'll have to dig deep and not expect search results on the first page to give you answers (kung mangutana k ni google)...
good luck sa project ninyo... hehehe
