    hehe ken rockwell hater? :P
(i'm no ken rockwell lover or hater ha)

for me personally, lingaw basahon iyang site, labi na for beginners kay dili lisod i-digest
ang English niya... by that i meant dili kaayo technical terms ginagamit and if naa gali,
gi-define dayon derecho especially kanang alphabet soup sa lens like "D", "G", "AFS", etc.

in short, nindot siya na reference if gasugod pa ka ug photography.

i won't call it a piece of fecal matter kay naa man pud unod iyang mga articles.
me personally would be hypocrite if moingon ko na way ayo iyang site kay naa pud
koy nakuha labi na tong ga-research pa ko sa about SLRs pero i looked at other sites pud as reference.

if nadala ko ni Ken, ga-Nikon D40 unta ko karon. haha
(No offense to D40 users ha... running joke lng gyud na about Ken Rockwell na advocate kaayo xa sa D40. Naa pud siya point actually regarding D40.)

ako lng suggestion is that don't focus too much on ken rockwell naa pay laing
articles. dako kaayo ang internet. naa pa silang bob atkins ug fred miranda. haha

    just my two cents.

UV filters are more useful as lens protection. you can abuse wiping it without worrying of permanent damage. you can replace it anytime. I find the Lens hood more useful than the uv filter as far as protection is concern.

for those who would want to use filters, make up your mind which lens serves you best so you wont end up buying filters on different sizes. that if you want to save.
ah, i see. pwede ra diay. hmm... naa pud ko nakita nga site na iya pud ni giingon hehe
    thanks bro

ken rockwell is a hate it or love it website. He does have some points and years of experience to back up some of his claims. It just so happened that someone in this thread mentioned about which should come first, UV or the CPL then I remembered Ken's article about how to spot an amateur. He does have a point however about not stacking UV with CPL. Please ignore the rest of what he said in that article. Oooooooorrrrrr did the article get to you in a wrong way? I hope not.

Anyway, let's keep this discussion "educational" and avoid short one liner comments.

This is my personal website. I do it all by myself.

I'm just one guy with a computer who likes to take pictures. I have the playful, immature and creative, trouble-making mind of a seven-year-old, so read accordingly. Here are some typical photos of me in the studio.

This site is purely my personal speech and opinion, and a way for me to goof around. Don't take any of this as true; I like to make things up as much as any other kid.

I don't own the gear you see me talk about. Even if I did own it when I wrote about it, this site has been on-the-air for over ten years, and very little, if any of it, is still here today. Most of the items I write about I've borrowed from friends and have returned, or if I did own them, were given away to freinds, donated to charity, or in the old days, sold.

While often inspired by actual products and events, just like any other good news organization, I like to make things up and stretch the truth if they make an article more fun. In the case of new products, rumors and just plain silly stuff, it's all pretend. If you lack a good BS detector or sense of humor, please treat this entire site as the work of fiction that it is. it is the product of my own imagination.

This site is provided only for the entertainment of my personal friends, dogs, family and myself. I've never promoted this site. If you're reading this, you got here on your own.

Read this site at your own risk. I make a lot of mistakes. I have no proof-reader and there are plenty of pages, like this one, which have been around since the 1990s and may no longer apply or be correct. I'm just one guy. No matter how stupid something may be, if I don't catch it, it gets out there anyway and stays wrong for years until someone points it out. I can't track everything; I've written thousand of pages and write a few more every day.

If you find anything out of whack, please let me know, since there are a lot more of you than there are of me.

I would recommend to buy the filter size which would fit on your biggest lens. Then use step-up rings for your smaller diameter lenses.
You can save by doing these since you wont have to buy different sizes of filters.
