event organizers, careful with booking your gigs/events here. made an arrangement with shanti for a january gig last october or november. i went back to their place recently just to check on the deal but was surprised to find out they booked another event on the same date as ours, a huge event backed by a VERY HUGE sponsor. what gives? shanti told me she forgot our booking 'cause her blackberry crashed. but if i remember it correctly, the day we made the arrangment she wrote it on some sort of calendar organizer. i thought, ok, honest mistake but how come she started offering me options to move our event to another date? shouldn't we be given first priority since we booked first? and another thing, she went out and asked one of her staff to talk to me instead of her working out this mess. we even had a proposal/agreement signed but apparently that's not enough. i'm so disappointed with this bar, but hey, who are we to complain? we're just a small event so who cares?

this is not the first event cancelled by body english. I heard a production's booking was canceled on the very same day of the event. Tsk. I am not in the position to post here the reason why though I agree that organizers should be careful with booking events in this bar.
