@therealmacoy: keep it coming, i like the "May problema bai?"
I originally planned to make this a gallery that will contain compositions that i make that has the 'monochrome with colors' theme. But since they already started posting their pix even before asking permission, might as well allow them to do so. Anyway, ISTORYA is not mine and who am I to stop them. It would have been different had they asked permission first before posting pix. Some people are really like that. But it's ok. This is a free country. Let dogs be dogs and pigs be pigs. I loose nothing. As long as they follow the theme of the thread, it's OK with me...

@ bharic: please follow this thread. I started with this workflow. Mono, with a Dash of Colour – Photoshop CS2 Tutorial

@micaijo: I think the photographer did a dirty job of post processing the picture. You can see the dirty job between the faces of the two people. Color is present where it should be gray. Follow the link that i inserted above for a short course on selective coloring on monochrome pictures using history brush.

nice photos, although im not really a fan of selective colors in a b&w. IMHO, if the photos were just plain b&w or colored it would come out boring, nothing really special except for giving out a colored area on a b&w photo, composition-wise. just my 2 cents

Thanks for the comment harvz. I appreciate your candor. I'm sure you're one great photographer to be able to spot a fluke from a gold nugget. Can you elaborate further your comment so I can learn? I mean, provide suggestion on how it can be improved... thanks in advance.
