it's my research topic..
iLL prove that not aLL badjaos are Lazy and Lethargic..

and i guess, i'm right. not aLL of them are what we think they are..
beggars.. uneducated.. Lazy.. scums of the phiLippines..

they are indeed hardworking.. famiLy-oriented.. Loving Filipinos..

there are a Lot of Badjaos in Sitio Badjao Mambaling who were living in Cebu since they were still young and they have been influenced by Cebuanos' style of living.
They were also working to support their famiLy. There were teachers, health workers, interior designers aside from fishermen..
YEt..
Sad to say that job opportunities are onLy Limited for these peopLe because of discrimination and stereotyping. But as I interviewed some of these peopLe, I really see into them their deepest sincerity in their work and life just to Live in our cruel society.. THey said that they are immuned by our harshness and misunderstanding towards them.. I hope that when we meet some Badjaos, we will set aside our prejudices and know them first..

According to my respondents, the Badjaos that we see begging in the streets are Badjaos who come onLy twice or thrice a year in Cebu.. They came from Zamboanga City and onLy come here to beg for any amount especially during Christmas season. but yeah there were still some who come at mid year.

I hope my research could prevent us guys from throwing harsh words to them. They were aLso Filipinos Like us. There resources were just limited. The govt. should open a livelihood program for these people. Yeah.. The question is when?

From what I've heard, ilang motto kay "Bahala'g manglimos para pangkaon, basta di lang mangawat." At least may prinsipyo, di ba? Di lang ko sure if tinuod ba jud nga di cla mangawat, though.

NOTE: they do ceLebrate Christmas even though they have different reLigion. they said that they stiLL acknowLedge our Jesus.. and they do want to be part of this annuaL ceLebration.. hurray for them!
