See that is the truth of your limitation and inability to grasp a simple concept. Just because a building has a cross on the roof, and pass out Bibles, and misinterpret the Bible can they be considered Christian.

That would be like saying all atheist are inherently evil. You would say, "that being an Atheist does not mean we are evil, that is a stupid statement made out of ignorance, bias, or predigest."

To say that all churches, preachers, ministers, deacons, bishops, popes, or church members are true followers of Christ. Therefor Christianity must be evil, is equally a stupid statement made out of ignorance, bias, or predigest. Evil politics, and evil men committed blasphemes and heinous acts of inhumanity while trying to hide behind robes, crosses, and churches. They were in the end just acts of evil men.

during their time, they followed the Bible and understand it the way they understood it just like most Christians do today. they murdered people not just for the heck of murdering people, but because God told them to do so. they used Deuteronomy 13:12-6 as a basis.

But how do you know that that was their reason for carrying out an inquisition?

there weren't violating it. in fact, they were following the scriptures. to them, it wasn't a violation but rather a "following". they perpetrated barbaric acts and used the "Good Book" to justify it. to them, it wasn't evil. they were merely doing what they felt was right to the eyes of God. a modern example of this would be the Islam extremists/terrorists.

you are right on the target. these guys are so brainwashed, they can't even see the evil deeds done by their religion.

    verses of violence...

4:23 And I say unto thee, Let my son go, that he may serve me: and if thou refuse to let him go, behold, I will slay thy son, even thy firstborn. 4:24 And it came to pass by the way in the inn, that the LORD met him, and sought to kill him. 4:25 Then Zipporah took a sharp stone, and cut off the foreskin of her son, and cast it at his feet, and said, Surely a bloody husband art thou to me.

get your d*** circumcise, if you refuse you die.

Exodus12:29 And it came to pass, that at midnight the LORD smote all the firstborn in the land of Egypt, from the firstborn of Pharaoh that sat on his throne unto the firstborn of the captive that was in the dungeon; and all the firstborn of cattle.

this event happened after God hardened Pharaoah's heart. toink!!! Pharoah was about to release the slaves but God intervened and hardened his heart, so what happened to them...see verse above. brutal!!! God hardened his heart so he could kill the firsborn son, ana na? tsk tsk....mind boggling eh?
