reminds me of arroyo's days. she seemed like a harmless politician. now we have so many names to call her.
Im one with you in saying "anyone in power gets something out of it". Of course, if we talk about power, anyone who has it has all the advantages compared to the powerless.
But the case of villar is exceptional. As I said, he made several projects that favored his business interest in the guise of public service. Thats clear for me. Not just the C5 project, but several businesses of villar as well. He doesnt care kung gamay ra ang makabenefit sa iya govt project basta naa lang sa unahan iya business interest. You can refute that like hes not proven in court, well, same as we are here not as a court but as a voter to see cetain issues if it has "unod" or probable cause or not.

Hence my thought of villar is, "If he can do or did such manipulations now, whats the reason that he cant do such manipulation again if he becomes president??"

Even with such thought alone, I will never vote for him. Even if I will side-step some other issues of villar, like being trapo, playing safe(for me neither he is an admin leaning nor opposition leaning), kusog mo-sakay sa issue even though how irrelevant his position/comments are, exploitation of the poor's plight by posturing to help but taking footage out of it for campaign purposes(timing kaayo parehas sa style ni loren), concert/tv gimmicks, etc...

Im even excited whats the next gimmick of villar after the filing of candidacy and during the campaign season. It really amused me, the way he bombarded the tri-media, walay significant changes sa iya survey numbers.

dahan dili how sure maayo modalag investment si villar... he might have explained well sa c5 but it very obvious.. look at how he spent his money just for the advertisement.... ug modaog asa niya bawion? sa iya housing and cementery projects? being rich doesnt excuse anyone from corruption... naa na sa kinaiya ug pagkatawo, ang tawo nga gahaman sa gahom ug hakog sa kwarta mangurakot gihapon in the end.... invest= x10 return..... (businessman)

pasensya na... taas taas pod ni'ng akong isugyot diri.

when you're in real estate, you'd have to deal with a lot of red tape from the government. from the barangay captain of the barangay where the land is situated, up to the provincial capitol where all of a sudden permits of different sizes are required. and in most cases, being a senator or speaker of the house gets whatever it is done faster whether he requested for it or not. so, when a project is approved, it's all of a sudden rumored to favor this and that person. how do we really know if that was the case? you're right; we are voters here who can say what we want and what we think of something. but proofs are what we need to distinguish the truth from rumors. how do we truly know if he manipulated everything or not?

now about the other things you've mentioned. for playing safe, sakay sa issue, and your comment about his ads, don't they all do that? if he needs to play it safe, then he should. politicians are expected to take sides on certain issues, most of which are really not as important as the other immediate predicaments this country is going through. better take the safe side and let the kids play with it.

sakay sa issue? hmmm... i think best example si noynoy with that. using her mom's death, the so-called awakening of the filipino and that ituloy ang laban thing? :P they simply needed an aquino figure. who can beat that? and for the ads, they all do the same. some of them show it on their ads, some of them pretend to be so conscious of the needs of the poor, handing relief goods, lamano diri, lamano didto... that's what they're expected to do, right? all of them would have to visit the desolate areas of manila and the rest of this country for a picture or two.

honestly speaking, i really don't see any better candidate than villar, who at the same time, has a big chance of winning this election. we may have people out there who are not interested in getting themselves rich and dedicated to helping this country rise from the long standing ruins, but if they don't have the ammo to fund their campaign, or even the reputation and popularity to keep them on top of the list, i wouldn't waste my vote with them.

~ and i'm just as excited.

Hahaha. Rumor??

Maayo nga negosyante c villar pero wala cya intergridad ug moral ascendancy as politico. Para nako kung c villar nakahimo pagpapabor sa iya negosyo karon, unsa rason dili cya ka-himo ing-ana inig ma-presidente cya??

    Dili ko kompyansa ana villar.

first of all ha, i'm not trying to convince you about anything, i'm just saying what i think about this. my father has nothing to do with my choice too. whoever his boss is, doesn't matter to me. i'm very much capable of making my own decisions.

and yep, it's a rumor. the alignment of the C5 road is what was originally planned by the DPWH. ang ilang gi ingon na gi liko daw ang C5 was actually the plans for the Manila-Cavite Toll Expressway Project. both of which are different projects.
