Locsin is competing against Emma De Caunes ("Night Birds," CHEZ WAM, France), Cecilia Suarez ("Capadocia," HBO Latin America Originals, Mexico), and Julie Walters ("A Short Stay in Switzerland", BBC, United Kingdom).
Locsin is the second Filipina to be nominated under the best actress category in the prestigious competition. In 1989, Tessie Tomas was nominated for her role as former first lady Imelda Marcos in “A Dangerous Life.”
Being nominated in that prestigious award giving body is already a HUGE achievement for Angel & the Filipinos.
