singapore but I'm currently in batam indonesia, mga 30 minutes from singapore, d2 ako na assign. you're lucky to have that amount. considering nasa pinas ka lang. most of my friends working in makati earn that kind of range too...but the standard of leaving is not the same. must cheaper man cguro ang cebu compare to luzon area like makati.

It's good to share the salary.

There is one thing that bothers me.

SHUT YOUR TRAPS AND STOP REVEALING SALARIES. It destroys the dignity of your fellow programmer, Where's the glory? Where's secrecy? Where's the awesomeness of the JOB? It feels like degrading your job even if it has a very high salary.

Previously, I always wanted to know the basic salary structures of different companies... I just realized that it's not necessary to reveal the Salary of the company you are working on.

Here's might be the chain reaction effect:
If one is posting Php500,000.00... Then within few months or years, another person would demand Php700,000.00. I know it's exaggerated but you get the idea.

    Company presence:
It might degrade the company's existence. Rumors might degrade a company...etc. comparing salaries to another company.

If someone is demanding high salary. Companies might go bankrupt or not to hire you at all.... because you are demanding too high. See the different point of views of different companies.
    ---------------------------------------------
Stop being a p*ss* and accept any job that is available, or keep the details for yourself.... because there are many people who are wanting your job right now.

It's my opinion..... don't take it seriously.

If you have a very very high salary... and your task is just for sissies. The ratio between skill and your income is different from others....

I would roll on the floor laughing my *** off, ROFLMAO

If someone claims that they have a high salary, then good for them. I'm happy for them and I feel no envy. If someone makes a high salary writing boring enterprise apps in HTML or in Visual Basic, then good for them. I won't lash out an unprovoked insult at others and become a social robot just because I've read somewhere on the Internet that you can attract chix by acting like an ass.

Observing and analyzing people is amusing.

Here In singapore, have a standard salary, from top to bottom. Singapore, is already at 9th place expensive city in the world. Salary matters inorder to survive and send some support to your families back in phils.

you can find me at PinoySG.com - The Filipino Portal in Singapore - Home we are not ony giving out our experiences, but helping them as well, what company can provide you, and if possible recommend them to our friends. I do share my specific salary, overtime, benefits, but this is more likely standardized by singapore MOM Ministry of Manpower | Home knowing salaries really help them, helped them to negotiate. Its not easy to work abroad especially if you are in times of your needs. You have to negotiate and somehow knows the standard of living. You have families waiting your support. Well, at least in my case.
