Clearly, USC is not in the same league with those Universities/Schools mentioned in the poll

ang nkanindot sa USC kay maski wala topnotcher pareha sa mechanical engineering kay 14 out of 14 so 100% ang batch 2009. over-all 15 0ut of 18 = 83%
ang UC og CIT kay naa top

although both USC and CIT are consistent in producing topnotchers in Engineering and Archi, the passing percentage is a better gauge of the school's performance I guess, which makes USC the best University in Cebu in terms of board performance overall.

PS. I don't think USC is the absolute best in the Philippines too, but definitely USC is almost at par with the best in Manila.

Apology if i sounded like hitting USC. I am just merely reacting to 'greater than number one' and belittling (yeah, it did sound to me like that) Manila schools as compared to USC.

And it was not my intention to highlight CIT against USC. It just so happened that the data i captured included a Technologian topnotcher.

I agree on you saying that USC is the best university in cebu in terms of board performance overall. I am not denying it, i am even PROUD of it.

But don't you think that CIT is inching nearer? A school which is still NOT on a university status as compared to the oldest university in the Philippines?

I really love that this is happening. Im just so proud to be a Cebuano! But i am also saddened by the fact that while the other schools are raising the bar, some seem be lowering it.

And yeah, regarding your PS, it should be 'at par' not 'almost'.

I will not be mentioning which school i came from.
Anyway, i believe USC is already a research-oriented university, and is not just gearing for it - USC is already optimizing her research capabilities.

..there are times na walay topnotchers sa USC..pero majority sa takers naka pasar man sad..

..pero sa mga boardpassers..naa lage topnotcher sa sa usa ka school pero, dili majority sa board takers naka pasar..

agree! wen i see advertisements of schools in the local papers, they only highlight the Topnotchers, they dont usually include the passing rate of their examinees.
unlike sa usc nga included jud ang passing rate, always above the national average jud na. except nursing. hehehe!
