Default smtp problem wont send my isp is pldt

smtp problem wont send mail to yahoo and other rcpt mail my isp is pldt except google mail they can receive all my test mail. my isp pldt server i used is "smtpdsl4.pldtdsl.net" to port 587. i noticed i received devilry failure coming from my isp relay to my dydns free domain name for my dynamic ip. i can receive mail from my incoming server. i alrdy called my isp regarding this they said they have a ongoing maintenance to the server and its almost a week alrdy.

kinsa naka experience ani share mo dinha beh....

its a week already. dili gihapon ma receive sa @yahoo, sa @hotmail, @lycos, and Other mail provider except Google mail and my mail server ug ang pldt mail support.

kinsa tigamit ug smtp dinha nga gamit ang PLDT for outgoing. nag change ba cla ug server? mao pa ba ang server ipa gamit nila sa PLDT "smtpdsl4.pldtdsl.net"? kay dili gyud ma receive aku mga mail sa mga rcpt naku kung ila gamit kay yahoo mail. lain man pud gud kung dili ta mo gamit sa atung own mail address gud.

    kinsay naay update ani anybody....?

I guess, they do a reverse dns lookup, and your IP does not resolve to your domain, but to pldt.
I had a mailserver running for years with PLDT, but I have a static IP, and pldt added my IP to their dns servers for reverse dns lookup.

Yahoo is very particular with DomainKeys, with Hotmail is with SPF Record. That's the most probable reason why your mail wasn't delivered, that SMTP server of PLDT does not have SPF & DomainKeys. And it's not a surprise for a SMTP server of an ISP.

yes i did send mail from: without proper domain and to the rcpt: with proper domain but the rest i used my domain and rcpt to: my yahoo account and to other mail account; i received a notification that they failed to send my mail "The reason for the problem: 5.4.7 - Delivery expired (message too old) 'timeout'".

but how come my mail server and my Google mail account did received all my test mail.

now what should i do, i did called and mailed their mail support but they said they same.

before nov. 19 all my outgoing mails wer fine.

mao tingali ni ang reason, walay klaro ilang dns entries. It can be fixed in less than a minute kung kahibalo sila sa ilang gibuhat:

    host smtpdsl4.pldtdsl.net
    smtpdsl4.pldtdsl.net has address 210.213.253.193

    host 210.213.253.193
    193.253.213.210.in-addr.arpa domain name pointer svrdsl1.pldtdsl.net

    host svrdsl1.pldtdsl.net
    Host svrdsl1.pldtdsl.net not found

mail servers of some ISP are set to block those emails from systems nga walay klaro ug dns entries kay mao na ang usual gigikanan sa mga spam.

But the main question is, why do you want to run your own mail server instead of using your domains mail or your ips's mail?

cause my ip is dynamic and i want free. my free domain from dydns can't make outgoing mails. so i need to use my isp mail server to send mails. and also dont forget that port 25 is block by our isp's.
